Nokia 808 PureView Not Going To North America : PSA

March 8, 2012 by: 17

When we heard last year that the Nokia N9 would not be coming back to the US,  we re left feeling to a small degree letdown even though we half-expected the news. Espoo has assigned the same fate to the esteemed 808 PureView — our pick for the most effective innovation at Mobile World Congress — and therefore the same string of emotions overwhelmed us once more. Consistent with Nokia’s developer site, the 41MP-toting Belle device will get pleasure from a worldwide release… with North America because the only listed exception. We assume this is often in large part because carriers are not expressing interest in subsidizing the device, however it does not essentially mean interested folks will not have any way to snag an unlocked version to call their own. Many e-tailers, for instance, currently provide the PureView on pre-order. As long as this is not purely an act of finger-crossing, we should always a minimum of be ready to import it over to this side of the Atlantic soon enough — at a much higher value than the rest of the globe.
